Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on overhead cranes and hoists. Perform electrical, mechanical, and structural diagnostics to identify and resolve crane-related issues efficiently. Utilize various tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble crane components as necessary. Complete service reports, documenting work performed, parts used, and time spent on each service call. Collaborate with the service team and customer representatives to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction. Adhere to safety guidelines and company protocols during all service operations. Maintain and organize service vehicle, tools, and equipment for optimal functionality and safety. Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding crane operation and maintenance. Stay updated with the latest crane technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
Military veteran with prior experience as an overhead crane service technician is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in crane maintenance and repair is advantageous. Solid experience in servicing overhead cranes and hoists, including electrical, mechanical, and structural components. Familiarity with various crane manufacturers and models, such as Demag, Konecranes, or similar brands. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Commitment to safety and quality standards in all aspects of crane service and maintenance. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
