Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Telecommunications Lineman to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication infrastructure across various projects. Your expertise will help ensure seamless connectivity for our clients while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication lines including fiber optic cables, copper cabling, and low voltage systems. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely. Perform fiber splicing and cabling tasks following schematics and technical specifications to ensure optimal network performance. Climb poles, towers, or structures using appropriate climbing techniques while maintaining safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to guide installation and repair processes. Skills Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunications or related industries. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation such as bucket trucks and power tools. Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, cabling, and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN, Ethernet, WAN, and telephony systems. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in climbing structures safely using appropriate techniques. Experience working with IT infrastructure components such as switches, routers, and network hardware. Knowledge of construction practices related to telecommunication projects. Ability to operate hand tools efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Electrical experience relevant to low voltage systems and power distribution within telecommunication networks. $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
