• West & North Suburbs $35-per hour | Full-Time W2 + Benefits Join a Quality-Driven Fiber & Utility Contractor American Cable & Telephone (ACT) is seeking an experienced HDD Locator for fiber optic and coax replacement projects throughout Northern Illinois.

his is steady, local work — primarily in the west and north suburbs of Chicago. If you can confidently run a drill and lead your crew without being micromanaged, we want to talk. What You'll Be Doing Completing residential and commercial bores Reading prints and understanding utility clearances Working closely with operator and ground crew Managing bore path accuracy and jobsite safety Performing daily equipment inspections and light maintenance Delivering clean, professional work in municipal environments What We're Looking For Proven experience with fiber or telecom projects Ability to read construction drawings and utility locates Strong understanding of safe digging practices Reliable, accountable, and able to lead a small crew CDL preferred but not required We're not looking for someone who has just "been around locating."
