Job Overview Land Forms Drilling UO is a fast-growing company specializing in underground and overhead fiber optic installation. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated, experienced Fiber Installation Technician to join our team. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fiber Installation Technician - Underground & Overhead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks both underground and overhead. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the company and work with cutting-edge technology, heavy equipment, and a dedicated team committed to excellence in fiber and the communication industry. Duties Install fiber optic cables in underground trenches and overhead aerial routes using specialized tools and equipment Operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks, trenchers, and power tools safely and efficiently during installation projects Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and network diagrams to accurately execute installation plans Perform work in all conditions Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing fiber networks to ensure optimal performance Climb poles or structures safely for overhead installations while adhering to safety protocols Use hand tools and computer networking knowledge to splice fibers precisely and test connectivity using specialized testing equipment Follow all safety guidelines related to electrical work, low voltage systems, and construction sites to maintain a safe working environment Document installation progress, test results, and maintenance activities accurately in reports Experience Proven experience in field service roles related to telecommunication or fiber optic installation Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, trenchers, or other construction machinery Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and testing procedures for high-speed data transmission systems Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and network infrastructure layouts Experience working with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment in construction or utility environments Ability to climb poles or structures comfortably while maintaining safety standards Electrical experience or background in telephony systems is a plus Join us if you're eager to develop your skills in fiber optics installation while working on impactful projects that connect communities.
