Job Description

This position assists with the technical work constructing, maintaining, and operating electric distribution lines, substations and related installations and related work as assigned. Limited oversight may be provided to licensed Lineman in absence of Line Superintendent.
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution.
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of transmission lines.
  • Assists in the repair of substations.
  • Assists with transformer connections.
  • Assists with tree trimming around high voltage electric lines
  • Installs and removes metering equipment
  • Provides standby duty per established schedule
  • Assists in the inventory control system
  • Implements and follows safe work practices
  • Performs GIS mapping
  • Attendance at off-site courses/trainings/seminars may be required.
