Responsibilities Construct, build, and maintain OH/UG electric facilities with primary voltages up to 34.5kV, including: Install, remove, and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services Install OH/UG transformers and wire all types of transformer banks Install and wire regulators, capacitors, and reclosers Drive various sizes and types of trucks Operate equipment such as aerial bucket trucks and digger derricks Read and interpret job prints and sketches Identify materials and understand their function Set and climb poles of all sizes in open areas, rear alleys, and energized lines Be available for on-call duty and emergency response Qualifications 5 years of lineman experience

Required Qualifications:

Required to have or be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License. Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions. Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required. Good communication skills. Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision. Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen. Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Ability to learn through classroom instruction, OJT and repetitive motions. Ability to climb and work off of poles of various heights. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement.
