Full Time Utility Locator Technicians - OFFERING BONUSES

We're currently hiring for Locator Technicians in the Grand Forks, ND area! Experienced Locators preferred, but also considering inexperienced candidates. Starting wage ranging from $20

• 26/hour depending on experience.

We are offering Bonuses for the following:$1,000 Retention Bonus

• Payable after 90 days of employment$3,000 Experienced Locator Referral Bonus
• Payable when the referred experienced locator remains employed for at least 90 days.$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Locators (Must have 1 year verifiable experience locating gas and/or electric to qualify)
• Payable after 90 days of employmentAll of our field technicians are provided with:

Responsibilities:

Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.

Requirements:

Valid drivers licenseUpon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines

Working Conditions and Hours:

Hours Mon-Fri 7am

• 5pmOutdoor work environmentDriving company vehicle to and from work sitesNormal working hours are daylight hours; limited work hours on weekends except for periodic on-call duty and mass workloads

Knowledge and Abilities:

Successfully complete the companys training program and pass applicable written and field testsDevelop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulationsLearn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related mattersOlameter is one of the largest meter servicing companies in North America providing services to over 300 different utility companies.
