This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, climbing and operating heavy equipment to ensure reliable network and power services. As an Aerial Lineman, you'll be instrumental in installing and servicing fiber optic cables, low voltage wiring, and network infrastructure, contributing directly to connecting communities and supporting technological growth. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop hands-on skills in construction, telecommunications, and electrical systems while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to access elevated work sites for installation and maintenance of aerial cables Install, repair, and troubleshoot fiber splicing, cabling, and low voltage wiring for telecommunication networks Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network infrastructure plans to guide installation processes Climb utility poles and structures using appropriate safety gear to perform maintenance or upgrades on electrical or communication lines Conduct inspections of aerial lines, poles, and related infrastructure to identify potential issues or hazards Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for cable pulling, grounding, or system upgrades Assist with the setup of computer networking systems including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet connections, WAN (Wide Area Network), telephony systems, and IT infrastructure components Requirements Proven experience in field service roles involving heavy equipment operation or construction work Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; relevant certifications are a plus Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques, cabling standards, and low voltage wiring practices Familiarity with telecommunication systems including LAN, Ethernet, WAN, telephony, and network infrastructure Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately Climbing experience with the physical capability to ascend utility poles or structures as needed Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical safety procedures Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting network or electrical issues Valid driver's license; CDL certification is required to obtain within 3 months of employmen.
