This role involves working at heights and requires proficiency in various technical skills, including potential welding and bucket truck operation. The Lineman will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber cable lines and related infrastructure. Responsibilities Operate bucket trucks safely to access overhead lines for installation and maintenance. Perform utility locating to ensure the safety of excavation activities. Climb poles or structures as necessary to perform repairs or installations. Conduct tree trimming around power lines to maintain clearances and prevent outages. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to execute projects efficiently. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations. Troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs on-site. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Utilize electronic files and provided work tablet. Must have a working cell phone. (Not provided). Willing to travel overnight away from home Monday
Reliable transportation to and from yard on Mondays and Fridays. Experience Proven experience in a similar role within the utility industry is preferred. CDL A or B is a plus. Experience operating bucket trucks and other heavy machinery. Knowledge of utility locating practices is beneficial. Previous work on construction sites is highly desirable. Understanding of schematics, field engineering prints, and wiring systems skills is essential. Ability to climb heights safely and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
