Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Overhead Crane Technician and become a vital part of our industrial maintenance and manufacturing operations. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and related lifting equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across our customers facilities. Your expertise will help prevent downtime, enhance safety standards, and support continuous production flow. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting devices using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals. Troubleshoot electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage circuits, utilizing diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting documents to accurately diagnose issues. Use precision measuring instruments to verify alignment, load capacity, and safety features of crane systems. Collaborate with field service teams and provide technical support for crane installation, upgrades, or emergency repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA regulations related to industrial mechanics, electrical work, and crane operation. Assist with training team members on proper crane operation procedures and safety protocols. Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance and ensuring minimal downtime during repairs or maintenance. Experience Experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Being familiar with
OSHA 1910.179
regulations for overhead cranes. Must have current state-issued drivers license. Strong background in electrical diagnostics involving high voltage systems and industrial electrician skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems such as industrial cranes, hoists, scissors lifts, or similar equipment. Military background or certifications in industrial electrician work are advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work independently or with a crew on larger tasks. Fluency in English is required for clear communication across teams; additional language skills are a plus. Comfortable with working at height and operating man lift equipment. $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
