PA One Call Locator

  • Full-time We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented PA One Call Locator to handle all requirements associated with PA One Call tickets.
In this role, you will be responsible for locating and marking underground electrical utilities in accordance with Pennsylvania One Call (PA 811) regulations, protecting infrastructure, workers, and the public from accidental damage during excavation. Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to PA 811 locate tickets within required timeframes
  • Use electronic locating equipment (pipe/cable locators, ground-penetrating radar) to identify and mark buried electrical lines
  • Accurately mark utility locations using color-coded paint and flags per APWA standards
  • Maintain detailed, accurate field records and locate documentation
  • Coordinate with contractors, excavators, and internal crews to communicate utility locations
  • Investigate and document any utility conflicts or discrepancies
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies Requirements
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior utility locating experience preferred; electrical or construction background a plus
  • Familiarity with PA One Call / PA 811 regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, GIS systems, and as-built drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
