Job Title:

Troubleshooter Job Summary This position is responsible for reactive emergency restoration on energized and deenergized electrical systems, including services, secondary and primary conductors, and related equipment ranging from below 600 volts up to 25kV. The technician will work independently most of the time and must be highly safetyconscious due to frequent exposure to hazardous conditions. The role operates on a rotating schedule, includes 24/7 oncall availability, and may require working nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform emergency restoration on energized and deenergized electrical systems up to 25kV Work safely on primary and secondary conductors, services, and electrical equipment Operate independently while maintaining strict adherence to safety procedures Climb wood utility poles and operate bucket trucks Perform poletop rescue procedures Follow all company, state, and industry safe work practices Use computers and digital tools for documentation and reporting Travel statewide as required to support emergency response operations Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of electric distribution construction experience Qualified to work on energized high and lowvoltage systems up to 25kV without direct supervision Demonstrated ability to: Climb wood poles Operate bucket trucks Perform poletop rescues Strong commitment to workplace safety Willingness to attend required certification courses if not currently certified Advanced math skills Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English High attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude Computer literacy Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and during emergency events Statewide travel required Must maintain a valid Texas Driver License in good standing throughout employment, regardless of company vehicle use Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of electric distribution construction specifications for systems up to 25kV

Understanding of:

Singlephase and threephase lowvoltage systems Metering specifications Class A CDL preferred Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods on varied terrain Ability to move freely, including stooping, crawling, bending, kneeling, and climbing Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work long and unpredictable hours Must pass preemployment screening, including background check and drug testing
