Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our Battery Energy Storage Service (BESS) team. The Field Technician will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of BESS. This role involves performing hands-on mechanical, electrical, and general labor tasks on-site or equipment staging area or warehouse, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Duties:

Assist with the maintenance of BESS components, M-Links including battery racks, HVAC units, cabling, and auxiliary systems. Perform basic electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision, such as troubleshooting low voltage system, and equipment mounting. Perform Quality Control of equipment, and apply corrective maintenance before delivery to clients. Assist in system testing and troubleshooting by following established procedures and supporting lead technicians. Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols , including the use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures. Perform routine inspections and assist in troubleshooting BESS components when needed. Document work activities, materials used, and any issues encountered for project records. Coordinate with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely. Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Must be available to travel to multiple sites across the USA. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.
