TFAs act as on‑site technical experts—guiding crews, ensuring compliance with Siemens documentation, and overseeing critical installation activities. This role requires a self‑sufficient technician capable of working independently in remote environments. Core Duties Provide technical guidance throughout wind turbine erection and installation. Ensure all work follows Siemens Gamesa procedures, drawings, and safety requirements. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting (110Vac systems). Maintain detailed daily logs. Coordinate professionally with clients and BOP teams. Monitor operation of Siemens specialty equipment (blade yoke, rigging gear, cabling tools, temporary installation equipment, etc.). Summarized Scope of Work Site Offloading & Preparation Support QA during receiving inspections. Manage Bills of Lading and coordinate component deliveries. Attend first "critical lifts" for major components. Foundation & Power Unit Verify foundation readiness (shims, conduit placement, bolt condition). Oversee correct mounting and sealing of the power unit. Tower, Nacelle, and Rotor Installation Be present for initial critical lifts during tower, nacelle, and rotor placement. Confirm proper function of temporary turbine systems and Siemens equipment (pitch pumps, generators, blade tools). Identify and resolve electrical issues affecting lighting/outlets. Cabling Ensure cabling work adheres to Siemens documentation. Assist crews in interpreting technical diagrams. Verify temporary turbine systems remain operational. Qualifications Engineering or technical background required. Prior wind turbine or heavy industrial installation experience preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision. Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities. Comfortable working at heights and around heavy lifting equipment.
