Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking experienced Soil Nail and Rockfall professionals to support railroad infrastructure projects throughout the United States. This position is responsible for installing and maintaining rockfall mitigation systems, soil nail walls, slope stabilization systems, and related geotechnical construction activities in active railroad environments. The ideal candidate has experience working in challenging terrain, maintaining strict safety standards, and coordinating with railroad personnel to ensure successful project execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install soil nails, rock bolts, anchors, and rockfall mitigation systems. Perform slope stabilization and rockfall protection work along railroad corridors. Operate drilling, winching, and specialized geotechnical construction equipment. Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with company and railroad safety requirements. Coordinate work activities with railroad representatives, inspectors, and project management teams. Identify and communicate changing site conditions or safety concerns. Complete daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation. Assist with crew training and mentoring of junior personnel. Travel extensively to project locations throughout North America. Qualifications Previous experience in rockfall mitigation, slope stabilization, soil nailing, drilling, or geotechnical construction. Railroad construction experience preferred. Experience working on steep slopes and difficult terrain. Strong understanding of construction safety practices. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Preferred Certifications Railroad safety certifications Erail safe, BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX, Norfolk Southern, etc OSHA 10 or
OSHA 30 MSHA
Certification First Aid/CPR Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Superintendent Qualifications (Preferred) 5+ years of experience leading geotechnical or rockfall mitigation crews. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and manpower. Ability to coordinate with railroad management, engineering teams, and subcontractors. $60,000.00 - $144,000.00 per year
