Clarkston, MI OWL Services is hiring motivated, hands-on individuals who want to build a long-term career in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. If you enjoy mechanical work, problem-solving, working outdoors, and learning a skilled trade, this is an opportunity to join a growing team and build a path toward leadership. As a Compliance Field Technician, you will travel to customer sites and perform testing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance that help fuel facilities operate safely and remain compliant. What You ll Do Prepare sites for testing, inspection, and service work Set up testing equipment and safety equipment Access underground storage tank systems, including removing manhole lids Perform precision underground tank and line tightness testing Conduct leak detector testing and ATG certification Perform Stage I and Stage II vapor recovery testing Complete cathodic protection testing and secondary containment testing Conduct third-party facility operations inspections at gas station locations Assist with containment sump repairs Perform gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning Complete minor maintenance on tank and line systems Document work accurately using a tablet, phone, or computer Safely operate a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle What We re Looking For Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools Background in trades, industrial, commercial, construction, field service, or other hands-on work environments preferred Ability to work independently and communicate effectively Comfortable using basic technology for field documentation Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow technical procedures Clean driving record Ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen Physical Demands- Must be able to: Work for extended periods on knees or in squatting positions Work for extended periods in aerial lifts or on ladders Work outdoors in hot and cold environments Bend and perform tasks regularly Pull and break pipes loose Wear and properly utilize fall protection equipment Pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation when required Enter confined spaces to perform tasks (when trained and authorized) Drive for extended periods of time safely and maintain focus while operating a vehicle Work on stomach to access underground equipment for extended periods Compensation and Benefits 10 Paid Holidays Flexible Time Off 401(k) Company Match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance HSA and FSA Disability & Occupational Accident Insurance Company-Paid Life Insurance Policy Employee Assistance Program (EAP) World-class paid training program for you to learn the skills for long term career success.
