Job Description
Position Summary The Global Wind Organization (GWO) Instructor position at Pinnacle Career Institute (PCI) is responsible for delivering high-quality training to clients enrolled in GWO-certified courses. This role focuses specifically on the GWO First Aid training module on Saturdays and the GWO Fire Awareness training module on Sundays. The GWO Instructor position plays a critical role in maintaining an environment focused on safety, professional excellence, and customer satisfaction aligned with GWO standards. Course participants vary from current Wind Turbine Service Technicians in the field, as well as students seeking Wind Turbine Service Technician opportunities in the wind industry. Key Responsibilities
- GWO First Aid courses on Saturdays (8-10 hours)
- GWO Fire Awareness courses on Sundays (4-5 hours)
- Provide practical demonstrations and classroom instruction in alignment with GWO standards and PCI curriculum.
- Translate complex safety concepts into engaging lessons that promote learning, understanding, and competence.
- Evaluate student performance in technical knowledge and skill development.
- Foster student engagement through motivation, professional modeling, and supportive learning practices.
- Provide training experiences that encourage values such as continuous improvement, integrity, accountability, and safety awareness.
- Present and adhere to a class syllabus outlining course content, objectives, and evaluation methods.
- Accurately complete and manage all required GWO documentation and paperwork.
- Uphold and communicate PCI policies, ensuring consistent compliance in all training environments.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Follow uniform guidelines established by PCI leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead GWO Trainer or Campus President. Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wind turbine installation, repair, safety training, or related roles in the wind industry preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards is a plus.
- Prior experience in safety aspects of wind industry roles is preferred.
- Current or previous GWO certification in First Aid and/or Fire Awareness preferred.
- Strong ability to adapt, problem-solve, and collaborate with team members across departments.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends consistently. Job Type
