- Join our Turbine andGenerator Specialty Services team as a Seasonal Field Engineer - Generator Services and take the lead in delivering exceptionalfield engineering oversight on generator projects across North America - andbeyond!
You'll supervise crews, perform inspections, conduct testing, andcommunicate with customers at every stage of the process. In this role, youwill be the go-to expert ensuring safety, quality, and precision in every task,whether you're in the field repairing, installing, or troubleshooting complexgenerator systems. Your work will directly support global customers, helpingdrive innovation and reliability in energy production!
- How You'll Make anImpact
- + Lead and guide teams of field service engineers,technicians, and craft labor at customer sites, ensuring smoothinstallation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators.
+ Perform specialized electrical and mechanical testing -both low and high voltage - to diagnose issues and ensure optimalfunctioning. + Coordinate and manage project staffing to align withsite requirements, timelines, and safety standards. + Share deep generator and interface expertise withmanagement teams, customers, and suppliers to support decision-making andtechnical excellence. + Guarantee that all work follows approved processes,maintaining top-tier safety and quality standards. + Deliver clear, detailed reports with conditions,repairs, and recommendations for customer equipment.
- What You Bring
- + Bachelor's degree inengineering or a related field.
+ At least 2+ years' experience infield service OR a combination of experience and transferable skills andaccomplishments. + Must be willing to travel forextended periods of time. (Typical travel is 200-250 days per year for anywherefrom 2-15 weeks at a time; While deployed, expect extended working hours of upto 12-14 hours per day including weekends/holidays, 6 - 7 days per week.). + While deployed, you will workextended working hours of up to 12-14 hours per day includingweekends/holidays, 6 - 7 days per week. A typical work week can be 60-84 hours. + You can: ascend/descend ladders toexamine equipment, position yourself to examine equipment including in confinedspaces, move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, work in outdoor weatherconditions, walk long distances and share cramped office trailer with otheremployees. Applicants must be legally authorized foremployment in the United States without need for current or futureemployer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with currentvisa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
