Job Description

A Snapshot of Your Day How You'll Make an Impact- Daily Duties As a Wind Turbine Technician, you'll be responsible for the routine service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Diagnosing faults and performing repairs in a safe and timely manner Climbing turbines (up to 300 feet) and working in confined spaces at elevation Responding effectively to stressful or hazardous situations, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team Recording and reporting service activity accurately using company tools and protocols Supporting the development and feedback process for new and revised field procedures Maintaining compliance with safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols Being physically prepared for job demands including ladder climbing (minimum 267 steps), lifting, bending, working overhead, and operating in adverse weather conditions
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred. Various combinations of training and experience will be considered. Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a technical, mechanical, or electrical field, ideally related to wind turbines. Proven ability to work safely in a team setting and meet physical demands, including weight restrictions under 265 lbs and passing a job-specific medical exam. Strong skills in planning, problem-solving, and independent decision-making with a focus on quality and safety. Hands on experience with electrical systems, including PLCs and converters; customer-facing experience is an asset. Must be able to travel up to 10%, Valid passport and driver's license with a clean record are required and must be maintained throughout employment .
