Pay:
$27.00•$29.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Weekdays, weekends, and holidays; overtime as needed; regularly 50+ hours per week.

About the Role The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Major Components Wind Technician to conduct heavy rigging operations and perform major corrective maintenance on utility-sized wind turbines. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience handling various types of maintenance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring optimal functionality of wind turbines. You will represent our company culture of safety, quality, and integrity daily while working across multiple states.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot and repair significant corrective operational issues on utility-sized wind turbines per project specifications. Conduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement of major components such as main bearings, drive shafts, generators, and rotor swaps. Call a conventional crane as needed. Perform all major component exchanges in accordance with specified procedures. Repair mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components to correct malfunctions. Properly utilize and maintain all mandated safety equipment. Comply with all safety rules in accordance with company, customer, and government regulations. Exhibit positive, courteous behavior with customers, contractors, suppliers, and coworkers. Accurately complete and submit required service reports, timecards, expense reports, and other company reports in a timely manner. Lead and participate in on-the-job training with on-site personnel. Looking For:
High school diploma. 2 years of experience doing major corrective work on wind turbines. Fundamental electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills. Ability to read and understand schematics by various wind turbine manufacturers. Ability to climb 300 feet or more regularly. Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Willingness to regularly work 50+ hours per week. Basic computer skills. Ability to travel for up to 6 weeks at a time across multiple states (Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma). Valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Certifications:
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
NFPA 70E.
First Aid / CPR. Tower Rescue.
Background Requirements:
Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. (Due to the nature of employer's business, company policy requires that candidates having criminal background will not be considered for employment.)
