Job Summary Join our manufacturing facility as a Maintenance Apprentice and kickstart your career in industrial maintenance. You will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment, ensuring smooth production processes. Responsibilities Work directly with Senior Mechanics and Management through structured training rotations focused on; mechanical maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. Participate in routine preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facility including; hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, HVAC/R units, forklifts and other equipment Learn to safely use modern maintenance tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery Learn to use precision measuring instruments and read mechanical and electrical schematics Support maintenance team by performing equipment inspections, troubleshooting, mechanical repair, preventative repair, equipment installation or removal Assist with the installation, maintenance, calibration, and testing of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), drives, automation systems or production control systems Help maintain accurate records using CMMS software for work orders, preventative maintenance, and asset tracking Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and part inventory area Follow all plant safety procedures and properly utilize PPE during maintenance activities Demonstrate progressive independence, initiative, and skill development throughout program Perform other duties assigned by Management Requirements Prior experience or training in industrial mechanic work or industrial electrician roles is preferred but not required; Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential Must be reliable, dependable, and professional Must work required overtime and be available on-call to support plant operations on weekends Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical theory, and blueprint and schematics reading Willingness to learn machining, fabrication, welding, electrical fundamentals, and automation systems Familiarity with manufacturing environments or similar industrial settings is a plus Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC, welding, electrical systems, or precision measuring instruments is beneficial Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn PLC, CMMS, and other required systems Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to accept direction, coaching and constructive feedback Willingness to work overtime and be on-call to support plant operations on weekends is a requirement Apprenticeship Program Details This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a career in industrial maintenance and manufacturing operations.
