Hourly/Nonexempt Overview Saint Leo Catholic Church is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Associate with general knowledge of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and cleaning principals within the Facilities Maintenance Department. Job Responsibilities Perform routine building maintenance. Set up and breakdown of banquet hall, tables and chairs for special events and requests. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and operating condition at all time. Performs routine painting, electrical, lighting, plumbing and carpentry repairs. Ensure that safety (including fire safety) and security policies are followed on the grounds and facilities. Provide exceptional customer service to all ministries, event clients, parishioners, and guests. Cleaning & sanitization, as needed during the day. Maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and in operating condition. Coordinate with contractors for cleaning, landscaping, and air conditioning as needed. Coordinates and assists with special projects and events as directed. Respond to work-related phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner. Other duties and special projects as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have basic maintenance skills. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment. Plumbing or electric license, preferred. Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required. Must be flexible with work schedule and duties, to include Saturday & Sunday shifts, occasional nights for events. Work in varying temperatures and climates, indoors and outdoors. Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach continuously throughout shift. Physically capable of climbing ladders in a safe manner. Valid U.S. Driver's License. Must pass background check, including fingerprinting. Must pass DOV assigned physical exam.
