Building Maintenance TechnicianRacine, WI / Lake Geneva, WI | Full-Time | 7 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Thursday | Rotating On-Call $24–$26/hour | Comprehensive Benefits | Immediate OpeningAre you ready to use your hands-on skills to make a real difference in people's lives?

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a dedicatedBuilding Maintenance Technicianto join our Housing team.

This role supports our HUD apartment buildings, office locations, and program sites throughout the southeast Wisconsin serving buildings in Racine and Lake Geneva.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and moreConduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systemsMaintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removalRespond to emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule)Ensure compliance with HUD, WHEDA, REAC, and local codesMonitor vendor work and maintain accurate documentationAssist with unit turnovers, equipment setup, and facility inspections
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred2+ years of experience in building and grounds maintenanceKnowledge of building systems, tools, and safety proceduresAbility to read blueprints and perform heavy manual laborValid driver's license and reliable transportation (MVR check required)
