General Description:
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing maintenance projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating resources, managing budgets, and ensuring that project goals are met within the specified timeline. They work closely with all stakeholders to define project requirements, track progress, and resolve issues as they arise. This is a 1st shift position Reports to: Operations Manager Essential Duties /
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans and schedules. Manage project budgets and resources effectively. Communicate with stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment. Identify and mitigate project risks. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed. Prepare and deliver project status reports. Delegate maintenance tasks to the rest of the team and finding relevant vendors and service providers. Developing maintenance plans and implementing them. Ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Keeping track of supply and material inventories. Work with Purchasing to order any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required. Updating maintenance logs for all machinery. Establishing protocols for non-mechanical maintenance. Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections. Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement. Planning and scheduling of machine PMs. Communicate roadblocks to Production Manager and leads on machine down time that impacts our on-time delivery. Maintain list of problematic machines and Unplanned down time for "real time" data on lost production hours. Drive a culture of safety
Previous Experience:
Project management experience Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and exceptional email etiquette. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience:
Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or inventory management
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Repair work experience. Excellent customer service and negotiation skills. Leadership experience recommended.
Educational Level:
High School Diploma / or Equivalent Relevant licenses and certificates may be required. Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading, would be advantageous.
Physical Demands:
Physical strength and good hand-eye coordination Generally, works in an office environment.
