Camellia Health and Rehabilitation Center Camellia Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Mobile, Alabama. This is a full-time leadership opportunity for someone with strong experience in healthcare maintenance, building systems, life safety compliance, and facility operations. The Maintenance Director plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for residents, staff, and visitors. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can manage daily maintenance operations while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Oversee all facility maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs Ensure compliance with all healthcare, safety, and Life Safety Code regulations, including standards from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and National Fire Protection Association Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, logs, and compliance documentation Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and grounds Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate outside vendors and contractors Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency facility issues Support state surveys, inspections, and plans of correction as needed Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff Qualifications Previous experience as a Maintenance Director in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare environment preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, boilers, generators, and general building maintenance Understanding of healthcare facility regulations and life safety compliance Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently Experience preparing for state surveys preferred Licensure or certifications related to maintenance or facility operations preferred based on state requirements Why Join Camellia Health and Rehabilitation Center Full-time, stable leadership opportunity Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Supportive leadership and team environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on facility operations and resident quality of life If you are a dependable leader with healthcare maintenance experience and take pride in keeping a building operating at a high level, we want to hear from you.
