MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR / SAFETY OFFICER
Confidential Opportunity - Keene Area, New Hampshire A well-established healthcare facility in the Keene, New Hampshire area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director / Safety Officer to lead all plant operations, facility maintenance, life safety, and environmental safety programs. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, life safety standards, and facility operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Directing all maintenance and plant operations functions Serving as the designated Safety Officer Overseeing preventative maintenance programs and work order systems Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations Managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems Conducting safety inspections, drills, and staff education programs Coordinating emergency preparedness and disaster response activities Supervising maintenance staff and outside contractors Managing departmental budgets, capital projects, and vendor relationships Maintaining compliance with OSHA, CMS, and Life Safety Code requirements
Qualifications:
Previous Maintenance Director experience in healthcare Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety, and regulatory compliance Experience serving in a Safety Officer or emergency preparedness role Leadership and team management experience required Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
