Job Title:
Maintenance Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician Job Description This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated and specialized foundry equipment used in melting, molding, and forming castings. The Maintenance Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician ensures reliable operation of electrical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems across the facility, supporting production uptime and equipment performance with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair advanced industrial electrical, robotic, and pneumatic issues on all production equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Perform electrical and software troubleshooting of production equipment failures with minimal direction and guidance. Provide electrical and pneumatic maintenance support to production operators and deliver training that improves machine availability and performance. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical, robotic, and pneumatic systems in accordance with established specifications and procedures. Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on most hydraulic and mechanical equipment issues throughout the plant. Wire and install new equipment across the facility and take projects from conception to full implementation with minimal guidance. Use equipment manuals and technical documentation to execute complex repairs and interface with equipment manufacturers on highly complex equipment issues. Train machine operators on daily maintenance procedures to promote safe and reliable operation of equipment. Design, weld, and fabricate basic parts to repair or improve equipment as needed. Perform general plant, building, and grounds maintenance to support overall facility operations. Collaborate with the maintenance team, including leads and other technicians, to prioritize work orders and support continuous production. Participate in overtime and weekend work as needed, following the established rotation and voluntary procedures. Essential Skills At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. Strong industrial electrical skills with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. Ability to troubleshoot PLCs to the PLC level (ladder logic programming not required). Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and maintenance. Comfort working in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment. Ability to perform preventative maintenance on electrical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Capability to wire and install new equipment and carry projects from concept to implementation with minimal supervision. Skill in using equipment manuals and technical resources to resolve complex issues. Ownership and use of a personal set of mechanic tools suitable for industrial maintenance work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience troubleshooting industrial robotics and automated systems. Familiarity with software-related troubleshooting for production equipment. Ability to train operators on daily maintenance tasks and safe equipment operation. Basic welding and fabrication skills to design and build simple parts for equipment repairs. Experience performing general plant, building, and grounds maintenance. Comfort working within a maintenance team structure that includes leads, electro-mechanical technicians, electricians, and preventive maintenance technicians. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a 100,000-square-foot foundry environment characterized as heavy manufacturing, hot, and dirty, requiring comfort with physically demanding and industrial conditions. You will work as part of a structured maintenance team that includes a lead on each shift, one electro-mechanical technician, one electrician, and one preventive maintenance technician. Available shifts include a second shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and a third shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). Weekend overtime is offered on a voluntary basis first, and if coverage is still needed, a weekend rotation is used to ensure support for production. The environment involves daily interaction with automated foundry equipment, robotics, and a variety of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wrightsville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70720.00/yr.
