  • Full-time We are seeking a highly capable Maintenance & Engineering Technician who can operate effectively in a food manufacturing environment.
You will actively help us build a more predictive, preventative, and continuously improving maintenance culture. This role requires someone who is comfortable responding to frequent equipment issues without frustration, skilled enough to troubleshoot and repair quickly and correctly, and forward-thinking enough to identify patterns, and build systems to eliminate repeat failures. You will play a key role in helping us transition from reactive firefighting to proactive system reliability. The right candidate will play an active role in helping define and standardize how we operate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Respond quickly to production downtime events and restore operations safely Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues
  • Reactive Excellence to Proactive Reliability Respond to frequent and sometimes unpredictable equipment failures with urgency and precision Perform corrective maintenance efficiently to minimize downtime Identify root causes and drive permanent solutions Recognize repeat issues and eliminate them through PM improvements, equipment modifications, and process changes Maintain focus on long-term reliability, even during high-pressure situations Execute and improve preventative maintenance programs Identify failure patterns and recommend long-term solutions Help transition the plant from reactive to proactive maintenance•Systems Building & Process Development Transform informal practices into clear, repeatable, documented processes Create SOPs for maintenance, troubleshooting, and PM tasks Identify gaps and build practical solutions Contribute to PM schedules, work order tracking, and parts organization Ensure documentation is practical and usable•Continuous Improvement Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements Work with production to improve efficiency and reduce waste Assist in installations and line improvements Documentation & Organization Maintain maintenance logs and work orders Build standardized procedures and systems Track parts usage and support inventory organization•Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures including LOTO Support GMP in a food production environment Maintain clean and organized workspace
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing environment preferred) Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams Ability to work independently Have an eye for detail; an eye for the minute, tedious, and oft obscure Creative problem-solving skills combined with innovative approaches to resolve complex problems are preferred Lift minimum of 50 pounds Read, write, and speak English Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, and crawl to evaluate equipment and finished goods Forklift experience required (Training and certification provided upon employment) Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels and work in hot and cold conditions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possess knowledge and understanding of food safety and sanitary design/controls PLC programming/troubleshooting Welding & Fabrication CMMS experience
