Job Description

Job Summary Foundry Maintenance Technician USA Brass and Aluminum Foundry located in Arcadia, Ohio. Has an opening for a Foundry Maintenance Technician. A small foundry with varied job duties. Familiar and experienced with foundry operations. Familiar with gas fired furnace operations and maintenance. Experienced with basic electrical repairs, core making, mechanics, molding machines, pouring brass/aluminum, grinding, Wheelabrator operation, and basic welding skills. Must be safety conscience. Able to communicate in English. Job duties involve standing, bending and lifting 50 pounds. This position reports to the Foundry Manager. This position is full-time Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days. Benefits after 90 days are Health, Disability and Life Insurance, also 401k, Vacation after 1 year of service. Pay $18 to $22 per hour. Must pass a drug test. Drug Free Company Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on foundry equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and ventilation units. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other analysis tools. Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, sensors, valves, wiring, and high-voltage systems to minimize downtime. Operate field service equipment like scissor lifts and ensure compliance with safety standards related to HVAC/R systems and low/high voltage electrical work. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling and documentation purposes. Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules that minimize impact on manufacturing output. Support installation projects involving welding ( welding), HVAC systems, or new machinery setups while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment; familiarity with foundry operations is highly desirable. Strong electrical knowledge including industrial electrician experience with high voltage and low voltage systems. Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Ability to operate field service equipment including scissor lifts safely; valid certification is preferred. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including troubleshooting and repair; HVAC certification is a plus. Experience in welding ( welding preferred), metal fabrication, or related trades within an industrial setting. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively troubleshoot issues while maintaining safety standards. Strong communication skills in English; ability to interpret technical schematics and instructions clearly. Military background or experience in industrial maintenance roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
