Maintenance Handyman

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our Air BnB management team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that all systems operate smoothly, repairs are completed efficiently, and the environment remains welcoming and well-kept. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general handyman duties to uphold property standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters to identify root causes of malfunctions. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems maintenance and troubleshooting in manufacturing or facility environments. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive maintenance activities. Oversee facilities maintenance projects, supervise subcontractors when needed, and ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities. Maintain a high level of customer service by responding promptly to repair requests from residents or tenants while communicating clearly about repair status and timelines. Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in electrical work, mechanical systems, and residential painting. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and schematics accurately. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repairs across various systems. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred for overseeing maintenance projects or teams. Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate clear instructions and effective teamwork. Experience with CMMS software for work order management is desirable. Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering timely solutions in residential or commercial settings.
