Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for smooth and efficient operation machinery and equipment within a manufacturing environment. Respond to immediate repair requests of production equipment. Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for repairing, troubleshooting and performing routine preventative maintenance tasks on various machinery and buildings used in C&B Piping's production process. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, conducting repairs as necessary to minimize equipment downtime. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on cranes and other heavy machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards. Adhere, maintain, and follow a safe work environment to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. Directs and performs complex mechanical repair work & is responsible for the more intricate repair assignments, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Directs and performs inspection and the more complicated preventive maintenance work on industrial forklift trucks. Works on the major overhaul of equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical machinery and equipment and forklift trucks. Responsible for checking equipment after repairs for correct adjustments, removal of any unsafe trucks/equipment from plant area. Directs the use of and uses oxy-acetylene and welding equipment necessary to perform welding or burning in the normal performance of maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will be one who is organized, friendly, punctual, flexible, and thoroughly professional and must: Report to work every scheduled workday and give their best effort to do quality work and show pride in a job well done. Follow all safety policies and protocol and report safety hazards to their supervisor. Make the effort to learn different tasks and operate varied machinery.

Experience:

Eight (8) years of prior industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Foundries, steel mills, machine shops would be a huge plus. Certification in crane operation or maintenance preferred. Experience working with large lathes and other metal fabrication equipment is a plus. Ability to read electrical blueprints, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including wiring motors, changing out disconnects, replacing fuses, splicing and repairing broken, etc. preferred. Ability to work outside or in indoor spaces not climate controlled. Ability to work both independently when necessary and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
