Job Description

The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for maintenance activities within a non‑union manufacturing facility, ensuring equipment reliability, efficient facility operations, and a strong safety culture. This role sets maintenance strategy, drives proactive planning, and coordinates internal teams and external partners to support production and facility needs. The Maintenance Manager balances technical judgment with hands‑on leadership, budget awareness, and cross‑functional collaboration to keep maintenance programs effective, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
Location:
Orville, OH Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain preventative maintenance system, MaintainX. Develop planned PM schedule for all major work centers. Manage schedule in accordance with MaintainX work orders and emergency machine outages. Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to assign appropriate personnel to open work orders. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to plan and oversee all repair and installation activities Monitor critical spare inventory and place orders when necessary. Partner with Buyer to optimize machinery and critical spare purchases Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance Manage relationships with contractors and service providers assist in onboarding of new suppliers as necessary Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities using MaintainX Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
Requirements:
Ability to provide hands‑on support in a non‑union facility as needed to ensure timely completion of maintenance work Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role Experience in planning maintenance operations using some maintenance software Solid understanding of technical aspects of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, etc. Working knowledge of facilities, machinery, and a wide array of manufacturing equipment Ability to keep track of and report on maintenance activity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods; walking; climbing; balancing; stooping; kneeling; crouching; reaching; pushing; pulling; lifting; grasping; and performing repetitive motions, with reasonable accommodations available as required by law This position may involve exposure to typical manufacturing and warehouse environments and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds A Generation Ahead by Design™Investing in people who power the future.
