Maintenance Manager Ephrata, PA 17522 Apply Overview Level Management Job Shift Day Apply Description Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role provides maintenance support to Production, manages preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and directs capital projects and contractor activities. Specialized experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required. The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization: Leads, supervises, and develops Mechanics and Electro-Mechanical Technician. Ensures compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company safety policies while promoting a safe work environment. Oversees and coordinates repairs of production equipment, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring quick, efficient resolutions. Develops, implements, and maintains preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment. Provides training and oversight to ensure maintenance staff demonstrate safe and effective work practices. Assists in the creation and execution of maintenance programs that support OSHA compliance and workplace safety. Identifies, recommends, and manages capital projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Monitors, manages, and controls maintenance spending accounts. Reports significant issues to the General Manager, including those related to equipment, personnel, or materials. Ensures adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory programs, including GMPs, HACCP, food security, and governmental requirements. Administers equitable and consistent disciplinary actions when necessary in alignment with company standards. Oversees contractor performance and ensure work meets safety, quality, and budget requirements. While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.). Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred. 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and material handling systems. Specialized experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required. Demonstrated experience managing budgets and capital projects. Effective leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
