Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager , a leading organization operating within a food manufacturing environment . This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving maintenance execution, equipment reliability, and operational uptime across a complex, automated production facility. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong, floor-driven leader who can lead teams, improve systems, and partner closely with Operations and Engineering to ensure consistent plant performance.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting into site leadership, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the end-to-end maintenance function , including preventative, corrective, and reliability-focused activities across all mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. This role leads the maintenance team while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all maintenance and engineering activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Leadership & Execution Lead daily maintenance operations across plant mechanical, electrical, and control systems Drive a safety-first culture , ensuring compliance with all plant and regulatory standards Manage team performance, scheduling, manpower planning, and conflict resolution Communicate maintenance status, priorities, and risks to Operations leadership Preventative Maintenance & Systems Develop and execute a robust Preventative Maintenance (PM) program using CMMS (Accruent / MP2 or similar) Optimize maintenance schedules, equipment overhauls, and inspection intervals Monitor and improve equipment reliability, downtime, and labor efficiency Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance planning processes Technical & Automation Leadership Provide technical expertise across: PLC systems, SCADA, automation networks, and control systems Electrical, mechanical, and processing systems Support design, modification, and implementation of control and automation systems Maintain accurate documentation for all PLC programs and control systems Projects & Continuous Improvement Lead equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects Utilize structured project management and planning tools (Critical Path, etc.) Partner with Engineering and Operations to resolve processing and capability issues Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and cost reduction Training & Development Train and mentor maintenance staff and plant personnel on: Equipment operation Troubleshooting Automation and control systems Develop team capability and build a high-performance maintenance culture Compliance & Engineering Standards Support and maintain programs aligned with: Process Safety Management (PSM) Management of Change (MOC) Mechanical Integrity programs Ensure all maintenance and engineering practices meet regulatory and internal standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred) 4+ years of maintenance experience within food manufacturing 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong knowledge of: Mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
PLC / SCADA
/ control systems Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools Familiarity with food safety and regulatory environments
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
