Maintenance Mechanic RimePro Inc South Gate, CA Job Details Full-time $30 - $40 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Manufacturing plant facilities maintenance experience Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics Industrial equipment troubleshooting Industrial electronics Technical troubleshooting support Industrial power systems Electrical fault repair Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities to support manufacturing operations in a high-production industrial environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to maximize uptime, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience supporting heavy manufacturing, metal processing, aerospace, forging, or industrial production equipment and possesses strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience working around large production machinery and automated equipment is highly preferred. Weber's operations focus on advanced forging and manufacturing environments supporting high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems to minimize downtime. Diagnose issues involving motors, controls, relays, contactors, VFDs, sensors, PLC interfaces, and power distribution systems. Maintain and repair industrial equipment including presses, furnaces, pumps, compressors, conveyors, overhead cranes, and supporting production systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Perform electrical testing using diagnostic equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and other troubleshooting tools. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and production improvement initiatives. Partner with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and improve equipment reliability. Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and PM activities within maintenance systems. Assist with equipment startup, calibration, alignment, and operational verification. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and environmental requirements. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on uptime, safety, and production efficiency. Qualifications 3-8+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, aerospace, forging, metals, or industrial production environments. Strong background in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting required. Experience working with 480V systems, motors, controls, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical distribution equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems. Strong understanding of industrial safety practices including LOTO and PPE requirements. Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities in fast-paced production environments. Experience in forging, metals, machining, aerospace, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Electrical certification, technical training, or related trade education preferred. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment preferred. Familiarity with industrial furnaces, hydraulic presses, overhead cranes, or automated production systems. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance principles is a plus. Ability to support multiple shifts and overtime as required.
