Job Title:
Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic supports the repair, maintenance, and reliable operation of heavy manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position focuses on mechanical troubleshooting, precision repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime in demanding industrial conditions. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on heavy industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure proper operation of production equipment. Service, repair, and rebuild gearboxes and mechanical drive systems to restore equipment to optimal performance. Perform precision mechanical work, including tear-downs, inspections, and rebuilds of motors and other mechanical equipment. Support breakdown maintenance activities by responding quickly to equipment failures and implementing effective corrective actions. Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery. Experience servicing and rebuilding gearboxes and mechanical drive systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with additional machinery such as conveyors, formers, furnaces, die machines, and general manufacturing and material handling equipment. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and reliability-focused maintenance practices. Interest in leadership development or the ability to take initiative in driving maintenance improvements. Equivalent degree, technical schooling, or formal training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, grease, oil, and tight spaces, and the facility is non-climate-controlled. You will work a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime required as business needs arise. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Frankfort, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
