We're hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic at Fort Riley, KS—someone who knows how to turn a wrench, diagnose mechanical issues, and keep a fleet running strong. What You'll Do Promote a culture of safety and quality across all maintenance tasks Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of landscape and turf equipment—from mowers, tractors, and UTVs to handheld equipment such as string trimmers, chainsaws, edgers, and blowers Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, blade sharpening, belt replacements, and hydraulic system repairs Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, gas-powered equipment, and electrical systems Perform preventative maintenance on company fleet, including pickup trucks, trailers, and equipment—handling oil changes, fluid checks, filters, brakes, and catching issues before they become failures in the field Take ownership of equipment and fleet condition—addressing minor dents and dings, identifying rust and wear early, and ensuring repairs are handled before problems get worse Support field crews with on-site mechanical solutions to minimize downtime Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and parts inventory Keep the shop safe, organized, and ready for fast-paced repairs What You Bring 2+ years of experience as a mechanic, equipment technician, or maintenance mechanic Hands-on knowledge of small engines, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, utility vehicles, and commercial mowing equipment Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Self-motivated and able to manage priorities with minimal supervision Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on active job sites Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and navigating active job sites Valid driver's license required
