Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Conduct regular inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility. Detect malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment. Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while performing work functions. Maintain a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Responsibilities Efficiently manage time and complete all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. Report damages, defects, and other issues related to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager. Document spare and replacement parts required and complete all necessary documentation. Appropriately use and handle all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment. Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report as necessary. Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Mechanical repair and troubleshooting expertise. Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge. Proficiency in preventive maintenance tasks. Experience with voltages from 24 volts to 480 volts. PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience. Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AVG) or Laser Guided Vehicles (LVG). Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment. Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Automation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Forklift operation skills. Ability to follow oral or written instructions. Team mindset with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Why Work Here? The role offers a competitive hourly rate plus a shift differential. The environment involves working with forklifts, industrial, and heavy equipment.
