Full-time SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring associate technicians, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Goal is to keep production on time 24/7 in a cost-effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance Able to work overtime as needed Able to work holidays as needed Will be on call designated weekends Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the mechanical team. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems including Ammonia system, boilers, and sanitary welding, communicate any maintenance difficulties that may require additional problem solving Help with maintaining PSM records and asset records, training and certifications for technicians Interpret and create mechanical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and mechanical documentation. Ensure all work complies with mechanical standards, safety regulations, and company standards. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements. Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and technical support. Work with parts inventory person on keeping inventory of mechanical components and tools and assist in procurement. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Approve, assign and schedule work orders. Review completion and quality of work. Review work order documentation for accuracy and completeness. Help with documenting all maintenance activities, system changes and troubleshooting procedures. Works with Maint Mgr to schedule, prioritize and plan preventative maintenance work Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to lead others and be a positive role model to peers
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years' experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Self-Motivated
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safe operating procedures
  • Self-starter with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Computer literate
  • Physical ability to lift 100 lbs
