We are seeking a Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician hourly labor position for our Extrusion Plant in Silsbee, TX. Job Summary Performs assigned job duties in a safe and efficient manner within the extruder plant. Works anywhere in the plant as assigned. Required to work any hours as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Provide vacancy relief as needed. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace facility operating equipment. This is a multi-craft role covering electrical, instrumentation, and millwright. This position is part of a development program with room for growth. Essential Functions Heavy manufacturing facility which could involve standing, walking, working overhead, grasping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders, bending and lifting throughout the shift. Requires safely operating and working around large moving vehicles and equipment. Must understand all mill safety policies and procedures, work in a safe and efficient manner at all times, wear required PPE, actively participate in the Facility safety programs/processes, and be personally accountable for your own safety as well as your coworker's.Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Troubleshoot and repair all process operating equipment.
- Maintain Integrator and PLC systems throughout the facility.
- Maintain fire systems throughout the facility with weekly and monthly system testing.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Work on motors, conveyors, and AC/DC power and troubleshooting throughout the facility.
- Complete timely and accurate paperwork for all work completed.
- Conduct business with integrity and respect, being accountable, and actively pursuing excellence. Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in a related field or 3-5 years industrial experience in one of the following categories: electrical and instrumentation skills, mechanical experience in drives, pumps, automotive equipment, and related operating equipment.
- Reliable and dependable, and available to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Decision making and troubleshooting abilities, good communication and computer skills.
- Candidate must be safety minded, highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude.
