Job Description

Maintenance Planner Who we are For over 50 years, Carolina Canners, Inc has operated as an independent Pepsi bottler and production cooperative located in Cheraw, SC. Backed by over 600 employees, a strong group of subsidiaries, and three selling distribution centers, CCI proudly distributes over 28 million cases of drinks per year to the Carolinas and the Southeast. What we are seeking A proactive and detailed plannter to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, materials, equipment access and production schedules. Why we will love you Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of three years of maintenance planning or maintenance operations experience in manufacturing. Food, beverage or high-speed packaging experience preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and manufacturing equipment. Experience using CMMS systems. Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies. Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documents. Must possess thorough understanding of supply room procedures including locating, issuing, receiving and accounting for all supply room inventory and CMMS systems. Must understand basic financial concepts such as estimating and budgeting. Broad knowledge of maintenance function, processes and operations. Must possess general knowledge of machines and tools used or operated in the facility. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to work effectively across departments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and get results through mentoring others. Excellent attention to detail/accuracy and multi-tasking skills. Must be self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and maintenance reporting systems. What you will do day to day Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for manufacturing and packaging equipment. Create maintenance schedules to ensure all work is coordinated on a weekly and daily basis across all shifts in maintenance in coordination with production operations. Create detailed work orders including labor requirements, parts, tools, procedures, and estimated completion times. Work closely with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor (s) to schedule assigned work to mechanics. Maintain and manage CMMS work order systems and maintenance records. Coordinate equipment shutdowns and planned maintenance activities. Ensure required parts and materials are available prior to scheduled work. Work closely with the Inventory Specialist to maintain proper spare parts inventory levels. Track maintenance backlog and prioritize work based on operational needs. Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives. Assist in developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Coordinate contractor and vendor activities related to maintenance projects. Plan and schedule internal resources necessary to complete required work. Maintain maintenance documentation, equipment files, and SOPs. Monitor maintenance KPI performance including PM completion, downtime, and schedule compliance. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Estimate cost of labor and parts for plant equipment repairs and/or project installation work. Work closely with Maintenance, Production, Inventory, and Engineering teams to improve maintenance effectiveness and plant performance. Create and close work orders with the correct asset assigned to the specific task completed. Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment. Efficiently manage time and complete all tasks assigned by supervisor. Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-employees concerning all aspects of the maintenance function. Ensure maintenance planning activities comply with safety and food manufacturing standards. Work well with others in a team-orientated atmosphere. Other related duties as assigned. Apply today!
