In 2025, more than 52 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), making it one of the busiest airports in the United States and a key hub in the nation's fifth-largest city. PHX is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System, which also includes Deer Valley and Goodyear airports, operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department (AVN). Together, these airports generate an annual economic impact of over $44 billion. The Aviation Department has a vacancy for a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler position. This position will be responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance control processes required to develop an effective, and efficient work plan for preventative maintenance and repair work for various work groups within the Facilities and Services Division. This position will plan, and schedule work processes and materials, primarily using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This position plays a key role in improving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of work for the Aviation Departments Facilities Division and supports the management team in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of the work conducted within each assigned section. This position will provide various degrees of support to maintain existing facilities associated with Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Goodyear Airport. Work Hours may vary and include nights, weekends and holidays. The Aviation Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will report to an Aviation Superintendent, Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, or Aviation SupervisorIII. IDEAL CANDIDATE
Familiar with research and development. Familiar with implementing and maintaining an asset maintenance strategy plan. Knowledge of fire life safety systems or another complex asset environment. Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports with recommendations. Proficient with procurement, contract development, and management. Proficient with preparing and presenting comprehensive reports with recommendations or needed changes utilizing data analyzed from various system. Proficient with planning and scheduling maintenance in an industrial or large commercial setting such as airports, military bases, large campuses, or large fleet environments.SALARY Pay Range:
$32.62 to $48.19 per hour.Hiring Range:
$32.62 to $39.64 per hour.Pay Range Explanation:

Three years of skilled trades experience in electrical, HVAC, building maintenance, or operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, facility, or system, including proficiency using a computerized maintenance management system. OR Three years of skilled experience planning and scheduling in fields such as electric utilities, property management, chemical manufacturing, large-scale manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing or other industrial setting. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position. The minimum qualifications listed above, plus: Experience with environmental compliance. Experience with the City of Phoenix or other procurement process. Experienced with safety management or fire life safety systems. Experience with the draft, evaluation, and implementation of detailed standard operating procedures. Experience coordinating activities with other Division, Contractors, and Stakeholders to accomplish work tasks. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), other work order system, such as; SAP or a fleet management system.RECRUITMENT DATES
