Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Shift Supervisor The 3rd Shift Maintenance Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations within the facility while ensuring equipment reliability, workforce coordination, and plant support activities are carried out safely and efficiently. This role oversees maintenance personnel, prioritizes repair activity, and supports preventative maintenance efforts to minimize downtime and maintain production performance. Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Shift Coordination Direct and support maintenance technicians throughout the shift to ensure priorities are completed efficiently. Assign daily repair work, preventative maintenance activities, and emergency breakdown tasks based on operational needs. Communicate ongoing maintenance concerns, project updates, and downtime information during shift turnover. Ensure maintenance personnel are properly deployed and actively working within designated areas throughout the shift. Provide coaching, direction, and accountability while promoting teamwork and professionalism. Equipment & Facility Maintenance Oversee troubleshooting and repair efforts involving plant machinery, foundry equipment, and facility systems. Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to respond to equipment failures and reduce production interruptions. Monitor completion of preventative maintenance activities and verify all work orders are completed accurately. Review major downtime events and assist with root cause investigations and corrective action efforts. Maintain awareness of parts inventory and storeroom organization to support maintenance efficiency. Safety, Compliance & Reporting Promote a safe working environment by enforcing company safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Document and communicate safety concerns, employee issues, environmental matters, and quality-related incidents to leadership. Ensure maintenance areas, shops, and assigned work zones remain clean and organized. Complete daily maintenance reporting, shift documentation, and operational updates as required. Support compliance with company policies, labor agreement expectations, and departmental procedures. Qualifications & Experience Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent hands-on maintenance leadership experience. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience within industrial maintenance or manufacturing operations. Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices, equipment troubleshooting, and industrial repair processes. Experience working within heavy industrial, foundry, or manufacturing environments preferred. Effective communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment while balancing multiple priorities. Working knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
