Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Mill Creek Quarry . Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this leadership role is responsible for driving maintenance excellence, maximizing equipment reliability, and leading a strong safety-focused maintenance team in a fast-paced aggregate production environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and building efficient systems that keep operations running at peak performance. Core Responsibilities Lead and support a safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across quarry and plant equipment Plan, prioritize, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs Manage maintenance backlogs, schedules, work orders, and repair timelines Coordinate labor, tooling, parts, and specialized equipment for maintenance projects Support equipment commissioning, shutdowns, rebuilds, and major overhauls Work closely with operations and site leadership to improve equipment performance and plant reliability Oversee spare parts inventory and establish effective stocking levels to minimize downtime Mentor and support maintenance personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Lead maintenance activities and enforce safety/environmental procedures Manage maintenance backlogs, work orders, and repair schedules Coordinate labor, parts, tooling, and equipment resources Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs Support commissioning/decommissioning of plant equipment Prioritize repairs affecting personnel safety, production, or property Track project timelines and maintenance execution Develop maintenance procedures and work practices Supervise spare parts inventory and stocking levels Ensure all required parts are available when needed Required Skills & Experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience Knowledge of quarry or heavy industrial equipment Ability to identify and order parts: bearings idlers screens pulleys Previous supervisory or lead experience Welding skills: oxy/acetylene torch stick welding MIG welding preferred Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Comfortable using hand tools and power tools Physical Requirements Must be willing to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors. Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and/or pulling of controls. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate to employees/visitors, as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment. Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
