Job Description
An Extrusion Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment. They perform preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime, minimize production downtime, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Pay is BOE $25 Must have electrical background 480V 3 phase is a must!!! This is a 2,2,3 rotating schedule 4:30am-4:30pm
Core Responsibilities Preventative & Predictive Maintenance:
Execute scheduled maintenance on extrusion presses, screws, barrels, drives, and auxiliary systems (chillers, conveyors, and resin loaders) to prevent equipment failureTroubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Disassemble machinery, replace defective components, and calibrate systems.]Equipment Upkeep:
Maintain proper alignment, tension, and temperature control on extruders, dies, and downstream equipment.Safety Compliance:
Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a clean work environmentDocumentation:
Accurately log maintenance activities, parts replacements, and equipment downtime in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Key Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a plastics, rubber, or aluminum extrusion environment.Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and electrical control systems. Experience working with PLCs, sensors, and motor controls is highly desired.Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Technical/trade school certification or an Associate's degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.Physical Requirements:
