RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up lathes, machining centers, and robots Performs tool changes as required and verifies all dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges Enters and edits machine programs at the auto cells; sets up parameters by completing appropriate check sheets Operates and maintains the Henry coolant and Ultra filter systems & records pertinent data on S.P.C. and other check sheets Performs cleaning, preventative maintenance, fluid level checks, minor repairs, and adjustments for all machining department equipment and processes Performs regular spot-checks of equipment to ensure proper and continuous functioning Collects and documents data for quality checks at designated intervals Performs the basic duties of the preventative maintenance operator, wheel checker, and material handler in the event of absences Monitors and corrects any quality issues in machining Coordinate and help contain any defective wheels Operates and maintains Buffer System Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Six months or more of related machining experience is preferred Post-high school education is preferred Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred Working knowledge of department equipment and processes measured by successful completion of prerequisite proficiency tests within a four-month period Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) is required Successful completion of advanced Utility Operator training modules within a two-year period following the completion of the prerequisite test May engage in frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills Great attendance and punctual Surge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
