Perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper operation, safety, and appearance of facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include maintenance work, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, sheet-rocking, taping and bedding, texturing, remodeling, changing of light bulbs and ballasts; checking boilers and air handlers for proper temperature and all other task as assigned by the maintenance Director, Maintenance Foreman, and/or supervisors. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, diagnose problems, and recommend solutions. Utilize tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and work performed. Monitor inventory levels and request supplies or replacement parts as necessary. Must have general knowledge in all phases of maintenance work and must be mechanically inclined. Support facility operations by moving furniture, setting up rooms for meetings or events, and maintaining exterior areas such as parking lots and walkways. Follow established safety procedures, comply with relevant codes, and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with staff to prioritize tasks and resolve issues. Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift and carry moderate loads, operate various hand and power tools, and work indoors or outdoors in varying conditions. Other duties may be assigned as required to support facility needs.
