Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform both reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery. You will troubleshoot and repair packaging machinery, filling machinery, blenders, mixers, kettles, pumps, conveyors, and more. The role involves working with electrical systems up to 480V, reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, and using a computer CMMS system for PM schedules and repairs. You will also perform setups and changeovers for machine operators when needed, and replace and repair drives, fuses, VFDs, sensors, relays, and motors. Responsibilities Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery. Troubleshoot and repair packaging and filling machinery, blenders, mixers, kettles, pumps, and conveyors. Work with electrical systems up to 480V. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Use a computer CMMS system for PM schedules and repairs. Perform setups and changeovers for machine operators. Replace and repair drives, fuses, VFDs, sensors, relays, and motors. Maintain a clean work environment. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Experience with electrical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, Allen-Bradley, and conduit work. Experience working up to 480V. Own tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a GMP environment. Experience with blenders, filling machines, and similar equipment. Experience plugging in a laptop to troubleshoot PLCs. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is on the 2nd shift, working from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. You will be working on the manufacturing floor alongside other maintenance personnel, machine operators, and shipping staff. The work involves hands-on tasks with various machinery and electrical systems, ensuring a clean and organized workspace is maintained. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Countryside, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
