Understands and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environmentAssists with repairing and installing various electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systemsWork with blueprint drawings, layouts, verbal instructions and other specificationsUse various welding equipment (arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting) for layout and fitting, including making jigs and fixturesDiagnoses and corrects trouble in the electrical system or equipment, applying standard computations related to lead requirements of wiring ore electrical equipmentPerform visuals and mechanical inspections to confirm machinery is in good condition, ensuring the production of finished quality products according to other specificationsFollows the preventive maintenance program as established by the company and conducts equipment inspections, taking preventive action when necessaryMaintains buildings, performing minor repairsNotifies management regarding the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipmentContribute to continuous improvement efforts in the areaMay be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by the Team LeaderQualificationsHigh School Diploma or recognized equivalentMinimum of (2) two years related working experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experienceAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistFrequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts

- FridayDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Technician is an entry level helper with some technical schooling completed or minimum experience in maintenance.
