Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues, performing unit turnovers, and ensuring that service requests are completed promptly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to resident satisfaction. This position may require participation in an on-call rotation, which is standard for apartment community maintenance roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in apartments and common areas promptly Perform unit turnovers, including minor repairs, painting, and preparation for new residents Respond to and complete service requests in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and service requests Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the property remains in excellent condition Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Collaborate with property management, residents, and vendors as needed Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance preferred Strong technical expertise in: Electrical systems Appliances HVAC systems Drywall repair Plumbing Painting and general maintenance Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of maintenance issues Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in various weather conditions, and stand or kneel for extended periods
